The latest from WEHIP (Bristol) on their move to St Michaels - including new telephone number

For Bristol CI folks:

The latest news from WEHIP (formerly WECIP, the new name includes BAHA and other implants as well as CIs!) about their move to St. Michaels. In particular, notice the new telephone number:

The West of England Hearing Implant Programme adult team will be moving to St Michael’s Hospital in the autumn to join our paediatric colleagues.

Clinic appointments with ENT Consultant Surgeons will commence at St Michael’s Hospital from September 2014.  All other appointments will remain at Southmead Hospital until November 2014 when they will also move to St Michael’s Hospital.

Please check your appointment letter carefully to ensure you attend the correct hospital.

As from August 1st 2014 our new contact telephone number is:

CI South West Summer Social -- Bath -- Saturday 16 August 2014

Now confirmed!

CI South West Summer Social - Bath - 16 August 2014
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Our first family-friendly event will jointly be held at the Hop Pole pub and the large children's playground at the Royal Victoria Park in Bath (immediately across the street from the Hop Pole).
When you arrive, come and look for us in the pub -- we'll be in both places but easier to find us in the pub! :)

The Hop Pole (Bath Ales)
7, Albion Buildings
Upper Bristol Rd
Bath BA1 3AR

Travelling Notes:
The Hop Pole is part of the Bath Ales chain of pubs and has very good food, tea and coffee all day in addition to ales. This particular pub is located a bit further west out of town on the Upper Bristol Road.

If you arrive by train, it is a 15-20 minute walk (mostly flat) to the pub and park, or if you prefer the scenic route you can go by way of the shopping high street, the Circus, and the Royal Crescent before dipping back down to Royal Victoria Park and Upper Bristol Road.

It is also possible to catch a bus to the pub and park from the Bath central bus station, which is located next to the Bath Spa train station.

If you are travelling to this event from Bristol, you might consider taking the Bristol to Bath X39 bus route which passes directly in front of the pub (look for the park and children's playground on your left, get off there and walk to the Hop Pole).

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions, want more directions or pointers, or suggestions for what to do in Bath.
